Challenge

Bloom Communications was brought on board three months before west Texas Seminole Hospital District was to hire a new OB/GYN provider from outside the area. We partnered with Seminole Hospital District in support of its objectives to ensure this new provider had patient appointments scheduled during the first week at the hospital and beyond.

Strategy

Working as their outsourced communications department, we first established a new brand and messaging platform that allowed the hospital to highlight the new provider not as an individual, but alongside the existing providers as a new women’s health services group within the hospital. We then utilized an integrated marketing strategy to attract new female patients, supported by public relations and advertising initiatives. We also partnered with one of our trusted website design firms to create a website dedicated to the women’s health group, which established both an online presence for the providers and an educational resource for women in Seminole and surrounding areas.

Results

The OB/GYN provider was welcomed to a new city with patient appointments on his schedule during his first week in practice. Within two months, the provider’s average daily patient schedule had reached 25% of its first year goal.
