Challenge

Bloom Communications was brought on board six months before Evans Dermatology was to expand from its original location in south Austin, Texas to caring for patients in two additional locations. Two dermatologists and one Mohs surgeon were added to the team to support the expansion. We partnered with Evans Dermatology Partners in support of its objectives to attract new patients for the new locations, while retaining its current patient base.

Strategy

Working as their outsourced communications department, we utilized an integrated approach of marketing, public relations, and touch of advertising to both attract and retain Evans Dermatology Partners patients. We also partnered with one of our trusted website design firms on a new website design as well as one of our SEO partners to ensure all communications initiatives and patient needs were supported and streamlined.

Results

After six months of marketing and public relations work, Evans Dermatology’s original location opened Saturday appointment availability to accommodate patient demand while awaiting the opening of the practice’s second location. In less than one year of opening its second and just six months after opening its third, every dermatologist at each of the practice’s three locations enjoyed a full patient panel. Evans Dermatology has since been acquired, and Bloom now works directly with the parent organization, U.S. Dermatology Partners.
