Brianna McKinney Recognized for Giving Back, Commitment to Employees

AUSTIN, TEXAS (October 3, 2017) – Bloom Communications, an agency specializing in strategic marketing, public relations, and research-based consulting, today announced that President and CEO Brianna McKinney has been nominated for the Austin Business Journal’s Best CEO Awards.  Recognized for her unwavering commitment to philanthropy and her dedication to fostering a work environment that encourages work/life balance, McKinney invests approximately ten percent of Bloom’s profits in its communities.  In addition, she provides her team a flexible workplace in which they can do their best work and also have time for a rewarding life outside the office.

Every year, the Austin Business Journal selects chief executives that have demonstrated outstanding leadership and performance and a strong record of innovation.   McKinney has established Bloom’s business model to work exclusively with organizations that support the communities it serves, essentially making the agency itself a giving program.

“I maintain a strong belief in igniting passion with purpose,” said McKinney.  “When I founded Bloom in 2012, it began as a culmination of my background in strategic communications and over 25 years of nonprofit volunteer experience.  Our marketing and public relations services are reserved for for-profit organizations that have an active corporate social responsibility program and nonprofits. This affords our team the pleasure of using our skills and experience to shine a spotlight on organizations that understand the importance of lifting the community up along with them as they grow and achieve their objectives.  It’s a win-win.”

McKinney’s vision has since translated into a successful consulting agency that offers unmatched quality and experience to its clients, and a recognition that employees are fueled by their work, clients they serve, and personal experiences.

“Seeing my company grow to where it is today, when so many people told me this type of agency could never survive – that it would never make a profit, is so rewarding to me,” McKinney said. “I like to do things people say can’t be done, and do them well.”

Award nominees will be honored at a private reception on October 11, 2017.
